  • A lavalier microphone or headset – NOTE: Phil often brings his own that can be connected to a mic pack. No handhelds please.
  • No barriers on stage - no lecterns or podiums
  • When a downstage monitor is available, a timer or clock for the presentation
  • Room temperature water available for pre and post-performance
  • Early access to see the performance space - Phil likes to do a walk-through of the performance space upon arrival – prior to the sound check
Notes for AV Team:

PowerPoint Presentation

Phil will bring a USB memory stick containing his PowerPoint presentation. As it contains animations and transitions, he will need to preview the slides during his sound check. Phil can provide his slides in advance if required. Slides are typically 16:9 in aspect ratio, however we love working with unique screen sizes, so if your event has opportunity to create unique presentation sizes then please let us know.

Interaction with the Audience

Phil is a very animated and high energy speaker and is often looking to drive interaction with audience participants. As such, having house lights at a level where participants' faces can be seen is helpful. Additionally, Phil is infamous for his crowd work within audiences and would want sound and camera operatives to be aware that he will often go off stage and move around the room to interact.

Media Files

Phil’s team will bring a portable SSD for the AV team to download any raw footage (audio and visual feeds) from his keynote and any other event presentations of Phil’s that are filmed. It is requested that there are no overlays of the PowerPoint, etc, in the footage. This media will go back to his editing team for media purposes within the business.

  • Preferably rear mounted projectors
  • A lavalier microphone or headset mic (handhelds impact on his ability to present)
  • A conference chair needs to be made available as a prop on or near the stage

Phil’s Virtual Requests
  • Phil’s virtual presentation can be hosted on the client’s existing platform.
  • The client hosts and moderates the meeting and is responsible for invitations and/or event registration.
  • Phil’s preferred platform to deliver the best virtual presentation is Zoom.
  • Phil's sessions are very interactive - he engages a number of participants via both audio and video.

Rehearsal

A few days prior, Phil requires a dry-run with the moderator and the host of the meeting. The day of the event, Phil will join the host 30 minutes prior to the event start time. He will mute his video and audio until he is introduced.
